H1N1 INFLUENZA (SWINE FLU)
The recommended management is to stay home to limit spread to others in the community, take panadol for fever, drink plenty of fluids and rest. If you are pregnant, diabetic, asthmatic or suffer from other chronic diseases phone for medical advice as antiviral therapy may be advisable. If your condition worsens after 5 days you should also phone for medical advice. Testing for H1N1 influenmza is no longer recommended and nor are antibiotics unless there are complications.
